So this works, but not with my 2017 MacBook Air. Gave it to wife’s newer MacBook. Chalk it up as a gift. Good price too. Be sure to read or research what it’s compatible with.

The product in isolation as a singular stand alone item works fine.
However, there is no guarantee that it will be compatible with other magnetic coupling devices you own.
There are three factor in this issue.
(1) magnetic polarity of the connection
(2) magnetic connector/socket size
(3) connector shape/pin placement design.
Buyer Beware!!
If you have multiples of this product and put the same connection on any device then you will be ok.
Dont be trapped by thinking your existing magnetic connectors will instantly work with this one.
