For experienced players, the pitch is a little out of whack, the thinness of the lead, and the ligature, so you can enjoy it if you don't care about that.

Play the alto and wanted to try out soprano without spending too much, this was a great deal seems to be good quality instrument. The reeds packed with it dont sound very nice but with a nice higher end reed sounds great.

I am a professional player,play Alto wanted to start back playing Soprano without spending 2 or 3 grand.you have be careful when you are taking the corks from between the keys so not to knock a spring or two off. The moth piece that come with the horn don't let you hear the horn for what it is. I invested in a top line professional mouth piece and top grade reeds and it plays compatible to any mid level or better soprano.
